The client reached out to us to continue working on a solution delivered by their previous software vendor. The initial challenge was to update an existing fundraising platform and implement adjustments and enhancements to it.
At first, our team consisted of two people: a Ruby developer and a QA/QC Engineer. After seeing great results, the client extended the team to 7 people including one more Ruby developer, two front-end developers, and assigned PM with DevOps on demand. At the moment there are ongoing enhancements in the project.
After a successful work, our development team received one more challenge. The new project is currently in progress.
Crunch team’s solution is an upgraded fundraising platform with a renewed design and vendor & client sides. It helps merchants sell their healthy goods and organizations purchase and distribute them.
healthy product vendors register an account and supply their products for fundraisers;
schools and organizations register on a platform, start campaigns and buy goods, which they’ll later sell to students, their parents, etc.;
champions are volunteers advertising the goods they like on their page and social media.
Our developers implemented the Stripe payment system and different policies in addition to core modifications. The platform was hosted on Linode cloud service at first, then it was moved to AWS.
The upgraded solution by a Crunch team offers a good way to fundraise for the cause while educating youngsters about the significance of healthy, local food and boosting their area’s economy.
